Microsoft Game Studios executive Phil Spencer believes that Xbox 360 has plenty of life left and will be joining alongside the Xbox One.

Phil Spencer told Gamespot that the company is planning to support the Xbox 360 for “years to come”.

“I think the Xbox 360 is going to be very vibrant for many years. In fact, we have a huge, I think it’s a huge  announcement for E3 that I keep wanting to talk about, but I can’t.” Spencer said.

“I think it will surprise people. I loved what we did last year with Minecraft; bring Minecraft to the box; six million units later it’s kind of a beast. I think there’s a lot of life in the Xbox 360 for years to come.”

This is kind of strange and doesn’t really make sense because what possibly would they be able to do with Xbox 360 and a new Xbox platform? Everyone wants to know what the next-generation console has to offer and get a way from the older platform. This E3 will be very interesting indeed.
