In an interesting find, it looks like Microsoft is showcasing their new Xbox in an internal event, and based on the timing, it should be clear that they are preparing to announce their next-generation system.

Sony announced the PS4 on February 20, and a new domain was registered by a company close to Microsoft the next day, which could mean that Sony’s conference did make an impact.

This event is called Start FY14, and according to the agenda, the Xbox meeting will be held from March 7 and will continue till March 9.

NeoGAF member Ekim writes that, “It’s definitely a MS product…” and he added, “Invite only means the are still keeping it under the wraps. So the announcement should be AFTER this event. (which is from march 4th to 7th).”

Microsoft no doubt creates a lot of these events but it’s the timing of this that is so surprising and considering Xbox games will also be showcased there, they could be revealing the new Xbox soon.
