Microsoft’s Exec Boasts About Xbox One X’s 4K Potential, Comments On Aaero Dev’s Statements

Mike Ybarra on Forza Motorsport 7, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and the world's most powerful console.

The Xbox One X’s launch is rapidly approaching, and if fans are excited for Microsoft’s new powerful console, that’s nothing compared to how excited some people on the Microsoft team seem to be. Which makes sense, too- after all, they’ve worked for years towards this moment, and now it is close to finally happening.

Posting on Twitter, Xbox’s Mike Ybarra expressed enthusiasm over the upcoming launch of the system, pointing out that the world’s most powerful console is launching soon, and that the launch of a new system is always exciting. He played up the console’s ‘true 4K’ capabilities, stating that the Xbox One X will be the place to play the best versions of most games, and then dropped in a tease about some of those games.

One of those games was Forza Motorsport 7, which he says will ‘blow players away’ on Xbox One X, before then also teasing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is due for an Xbox One release later this year, on the One X (as well as on the standard Xbox One). He also commented on Aaero’s developer’s recent comments by saying that one of the guiding principles in the creation of the Xbox One X had been ease for developers- and that the response from developers has bowled over the Xbox team so far.

As hardware, the Xbox One X is unmatched. It’s powerful, lightweight, quiet, and extremely developer friendly. It is exactly the kind of thing that made Xbox what it is to begin with. Hopefully, Microsoft will also back it up with some major games, to showcase the full range of what it can do.
