Middle-Earth: Shadow of War hasn’t had the easiest time of things lately, has it? It’s been surrounded by controversies, poor advertising and marketing, and what seem to be rather anti consumer moves such as microtransactions in a single player game.

That said, it still remains one of the most anticipated upcoming games of the year- and as such, we still see a lot of anticipation around the game from its fans when new media for it launches. New media such as this brand new gameplay video- this gameplay video shows us a boss fight with one of the most iconic and terrifying entities in the Tolkien universe- a Nazgul, one of the nine fallen Kings of Men whom Sauron ensnared with Rings of Power before corrupting them wholly and bringing them under his control.

The Nazgul play very major roles in The Lord of the Rings, of course- and are, in fact, the very first antagonistic presence that Frodo has to contend with in the story. How this game treats them will be interesting to see. Shadow of War launches in October on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
