During Xbox’s day two stream at Gamescom 2026, developer Tallboys and publisher Critical Reflex revealed a new game – Militsioner. The title was showcased with a trailer that provides some more details about the strange title where every single move that the player makes is observed by a colossal policeman. Check out the trailer below.
The player takes on the role of “an ordinary nobody who has never done anything noteworthy” who has been arrested for an unknown reason. To avoid this fate, the protagonist must get away from the policeman as quickly as possible. The core gameplay in Militsioner will revolve around plenty of sneaking around, and Tallboys has referred to the title as an immersive sim, so there will be a few ways to distract the policeman as well.
While the player’s central goal is to escape by getting on a train, there are plenty of ways to accomplish it. There is even a dialog system through which you can interact with other characters, and even the giant policeman. Interestingly, the trailer shows the various feelings of the policeman depending on the player’s actions, be it sad, angry, or romantic. Unfortunately, the trailer didn’t quite reveal any details about what the policeman actually does if he catches you.
Along with sneaking around, players can also partake in the in-game economy to get their hands on much-needed tools. If all else fails, they can also simply steal what they need.
Militsioner is being developed for PC and Xbox Series X/S and is slated for release in 2027. It will also be coming to Game Pass on day one of release.
