With all the event cancellations and with developers shifting to remote work due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, it was a given that some release dates would be affected. Mojang recently offered an update on its dungeon crawling action RPG Minecraft Dungeons which is due to release in April. It revealed that its “workflows will unfortunately be impacted” due to working at home.
This doesn’t mean the game is delayed – yet. The development team said it’s “working hard to deliver Minecraft Dungeons in April, but we’re also re-evaluating our timeline to make sure we bring you the best game possible.” Considering the number of high-profile titles coming in the next few weeks, it might not be the worst situation imaginable if the game is delayed.
Regardless, we’ll have to stay tuned for more details to see how things shake out especially since every studio will be affected differently by the pandemic. Minecraft Dungeons is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. For more details on Enchantments, unique gear and so on, head here.
