Minecraft Dungeons might not be as much of a dominating presence in the cultural zeitgeist as the phenomena of a game that spawned it, but then again, it was never meant to be that. What it was meant to be was a solid action RPG offshoot that could appeal to a wide audience and keep them coming back for more for a long time to come, and thanks to its solid inherent quality and the consistent post-launch support it has released with expansions, seasonal events, and more, it’s been quite successful in its attempts to do that.

It’s now two years ago that Minecraft Dungeons originally launched, and sure enough, Mojang is looking to commemorate that occasion in style– with a special event that actually kicked off on May 25, and will run until June 15. And what has that celebration brought to the table? Well, there are new seasonal trials for players to take on, which will yield various rewards, including new gear like the Sparkler, Sweet Tooth, or the Sugar Rush, in addition to the new anniversary cape. There’s also a new tower challenge that’ll help you earn the friendship of the baby moobloom pet- and yes, you read that right.

Check out a brief teaser trailer of the game’s 2nd anniversary celebration below.

Minecraft Dungeons is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
