Mojang’s dungeon-crawling, action RPG spin-off Minecraft Dungeons is out today. So of course that means a launch trailer full of enemies, loot and co-op, alternating between isometric gameplay and faux cinematic scenes. Check it out below.
Minecraft Dungeons is a pretty big departure from the base game’s formula. You don’t mine or craft – the game is completely about hacking and slashing through hordes of enemies. Along with randomly generated dungeons, players will also have to contend with enemies from Minecraft like skeletons and Creepers along with puzzles and traps. The biggest difference between most action RPGs and Minecraft Dungeons is that players can use pretty much any weapon and armor.
Along with releasing on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch, Minecraft Dungeons will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC. You can check out our review for the game here. Though the title’s post-launch support is unknown, cross-platform multiplayer will be coming in the future.
