Minecraft

The Wii U is almost dead, on the way out, due for a successor next year, having had a run as one of the least successful systems of all time. You know what might have changed this? Minecraft, on the Wii U. Not only would the game work wonderfully on the system and its touch based interface, but the demographics of Minecraft align with Nintendo’s demographics as well- parents looking to buy their kids just one system would have gladly sprung money for a Wii U if it had had Minecraft as well as Mario.

Alas, that didn’t happen. But it is now- even as the Wii U is nearing the end of its lifespan, it appears Minecraft is finally going to be made available for the system. A PEGI listing for the game has been spotted. This is the first time we have heard of Minecraft on the Wii U, although with the upcoming Nintendo Direct in a few hours, it seems pretty likely we will be finding out more about the game pretty soon.

Stay tuned.
