Mojang’s Minecraft: PS3 Edition finally has a release date. According to a post on the PlayStation Blog NA, it will be coming out on December 17th for the PS3. The PS4 and PS Vita versions will be announced shortly.
A couple of questions have been answered about the same in the post. The PS3 Edition of Minecraft will include all content present in other console versions, and it’s been revealed that all versions will be developed in tandem rom now on. There will also be downloadable skins and texture packs available on PSN once the game releases. There’s a slight indication that PlayStation-specific skins and textures would be out but no confirmation yet.
There’s also no word yet on whether the PS3 Edition will support Remote Play or whether it’s compatible with the PS4 or Vita versions. But stay tuned for more details. And no, there’s no Herobrine in the PS3 Edition.
