Monster Hunter 4 Promotional Video: And My Axe!

Also merchant cat. Capcom wins internets.

Capcom has released a new promotional video for Monster Hunter 4 full of CG cutscenes and gameplay sequences. This is your chance to get acquainted with all manner of monstrosities you will be facing when the game releases for 3DS. Though honestly, the cat merchant is what’s got us hooked.

Look at his little hat and merchant clothes!

But more importantly, the promo showcases how the new mechanics of the game, like climbing up surfaces, will factor into play. There’s also a sequence in which a monster is able to decimate the cliff you’re standing on, thus taking the battle to another level. Yes, it’s still Monster Hunter in how you hack, slash and hunt for monsters. But it looks fun as well.

As of now, Monster Hunter 4 is only scheduled to release in Japan on September 14th. No plans have been announced to make the game available outside of the country, but keep the hope alive.
