Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for the Nintendo 3DS finally has a set release date…for Japan. It will be arriving on October 11th and a new trailer has been revealed for the game. Check it out above.

When can Western gamers expect their chance to hack and slash through the foul mobs of Monster Hunter? Capcom said that we’ll have to wait till “early 2015” for the game in Europe and North America. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is ultimately a follow-up to Monster Hunter 4, which was an incredible success in Japan since launching in December 2013. It went on to sell more than 4 million copies, making it one of the top-selling 3DS titles in the country of all-time.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate aims to innovate on the usual formula by allowing for more vertical movement, thus allowing players different ways to hunt down the various beasts. We’ll wait and see how the game pans out in Japan when it releases in October.
