Monster Hunter Rise may have taken up most of the attention with Update Ver. 3.0 out today. However, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin continues to look good. A new trailer has been released which teases various monsters losing control due to the presence of “Rage-Rays.” Check it out below.

Along with the Rage-Rays, various Rathalos have been disappearing while strange holes emerge out of nowhere. In the midst of all this, the player is tasked with harnessing Razewing Ratha’s power without it losing control. Various monsters like Mizutsune, Black Diablos and Frostfang Barioth make appearances along with the ruiner itself, Nergigante.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Run is out on July 9th for Nintendo Switch and PC. Purchasing the Deluxe Edition nets the base game, outfits for Ena and Navirou, Razewing Armor Alpha and Beta Layered Armor, sticker sets, and a Spiky Nergal hair-style for the player. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay en route to release.
