Monster Hunter Stories 3 Twisted Reflection

While Monster Hunter Wilds has a “large-scale” expansion coming in the future, fans can delve into a new entry in the Monster Hunter Stories franchise in a matter of weeks. A new overview trailer is available for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, narrated by Elizabeth Rose Bloodblame of Hololive English, and besides detailing the story, it also explains the history of Riders.

In each Monster Hunter Stories title, the player controls a Rider who can bond with Monsters (known as Monstees) and fight alongside them. A Rathalos always plays a key role in the game’s events, but in Monster Hunter Stories 3, there are two. One goes to Azuria’s prince while the other is ridden by Vermeil’s princess, Eleanor, who happens to be on opposite sides.

That doesn’t stop them from cooperating, especially when the Crystal Encroachment threatens the world itself. Working with the Rangers, players engage in Habitat Restoration, taking on invasive monsters, rescuing Monster eggs, hatching them, and then returning them to the ecosystem. Through this practice, you can obtain special mutant Monstees with unique elemental combos.

Of course, there are still plenty of other big-name Monsters to tussle with, from Rey Dau and Arkveld to, of all things, Yama Tsukami from Monster Hunter 2. Launching on March 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection has a free demo with save data transfer to the game. Head here for more details.
