Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds is available now worldwide, and despite several issues, the PC version is off to an incredible start. In less than 24 hours, it’s sitting at 1,286,000 concurrent players on Steam at this time of writing, becoming the seventh most-played game in the platform’s history.

It’s already surpassed the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur’s Gate 3. Furthermore, it’s the most successful PC launch for Capcom and far beyond Monster Hunter World (334,684) and Monster Hunter Rise (231,360).

This is despite widely reported issues like poor optimization and crashes, earning it a “Mixed” rating as only 47 percent of over 9,000 user reviews have given it a thumbs-up. Capcom hasn’t stated anything on this, but stay tuned for further updates.

Monster Hunter Wilds is also available for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Check out our review for more details – we gave it an eight out of ten.
