Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds has sold over eight million copies within three days of launch. Not only is it the fastest-selling title in the franchise, but it’s also the quickest any title from the publisher has reached this milestone.
By comparison, Monster Hunter Rise shipped four million units, while Monster Hunter World’s shipments and digital sales surpassed five million in that period. While it remains to be seen if Monster Hunter Wilds can take the title of highest-selling Capcom title from World, it’s certainly off to a strong start.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Developed on RE Engine, it offers several firsts for the franchise, like cross-platform multiplayer, seamless traversal from base to hunts, and more. As with past titles, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive free title updates with new monsters and Event Quests. The first Title Update arrives in early April, bringing Mizutsune to the roster alongside the Gathering Hub.
