Monster Hunter Wilds - Hunting Horn

It’s a new day, which means a new Monster Hunter Wilds trailer from Capcom highlighting a specific weapon type. This time, it’s the Hunting Horn, a support-focused weapon which provides buffs to the user and allies through the power of music. Check it out below.

Depending on the melodies of the Hunting Horn, you can buff different attributes for the group. However, Wilds also lets you create Echo Bubbles, generating “special effects” in an area. They can also be triggered to damage monsters within them, buffing the overall DPS.

The weapon’s Focus Strike is reminiscent of the Silkbind Skill from Monster Hunter Rise. However, it now triggers multiple hits with the strumming rather than a single one. Another noteworthy new ability is a slight backstep into a powerful stunning blow.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. A new trailer will be revealed on August 20th at Gamescom Opening Night Live, while attendees can go hands-on with it throughout the trade fair.
