After “soft” sales for Monster Hunter Wilds in the previous fiscal quarter, a new update is live, bringing random Talismans to the game. Players can essentially obtain a new reward from 9-star monster quests called Glowing Stone, which provides a Talisman with random skills upon appraisal.

The end-game has also been slightly expanded post-Hunter Rank 100, as players will encounter Tempered versions of Uth Duna, Rey Dau, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, Lagiacrus, Mizutsune, and more. These are 9-star quests, which means they’ll hit even harder than regular Tempered monsters. However, players can now upgrade Rarity 5 and above armor for increased defense.

Other notable additions include setting weapons, armor and Talismans as a Favorites, a new Recoil Aim Assist option, and various balance adjustments for the Great Sword, Long Sword, Lance, and much more. Check out some of the patch notes below and full details here.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Title Update 3 is coming by September end and will add a new monster.

  • Regular and tempered versions of Rey Dau and Nu Udra will now appear in the Wounded Hollow at HR 100 or higher.
  • Adjusted the appearance rate of monsters at HR 100 and higher.
  • The appearance rate of standard monsters has been slightly increased.

  • Adjusted the damage scaling during mounts to tone down the amount of damage reduction applied to non-mounted players’ attacks.
  • Fixed an issue where the wet status would not be removed when retrying an Arena Quest while the player was wet.
