Monster Hunter World Crosses 25 Million Units Sold Worldwide

Monster Hunter World and its Iceborne Master Edition have hit another new sales milestone, Capcom has announced.

Monster Hunter World has sold over 25 million units worldwide, Capcom has announced on the occasion of the series’ 20th anniversary. That number includes sales of Monster Hunter World, as well as sales of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition, which compiles the base game and its expansion.

The action RPG is Capcom’s highest-selling game of all time. As of December 31, its cumulative sales stood at 24.1 million units across all platforms, so clearly it has continued to see sustained sales over the following couple of months- as it has done over the course of several years.

The Monster Hunter franchise’s cumulative sales stand at 97 million units worldwide as of December 31. The series’ next mainline entry, Monster Hunter Wilds, is set to launch sometime in 2025. Meanwhile, June 14 will see the launch of remaster of Monster Hunter Stories on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and a port of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on PS4.
