It should be no surprise to anyone that Monster Hunter: World is selling exceptionally well, given the popularity of the series as a whole and this latest entry. Capcom has now announced  in a press release that shipments of the game have crossed an important milestone.

Capcom has now revealed that the game has shipped six million units worldwide including physical shipments to retailers along with digital downloads on the PlayStation Store and on Xbox Live. This makes it the fastest game in the series to pass six million shipments. The success of the game is likely to continue for a while due to the multiplayer component of the game.

The game had already enjoyed a strong debut week and we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for this game. Monster Hunter: World is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One with a PC version set to release later in the fall.
