Monster Hunter World Launching Globally on January 26th 2018

Capcom reveals special PS4 Pro console for the game set to release in December.

Tired of all these cool games being announced at Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show presser with Japan-only release dates? Don’t worry – Capcom announced that Monster Hunter World, it’s huge open world action RPG that brings Monster Hunter to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, will be launching worldwide on January 26th 2018.

New gameplay was also showcased, revealing some new monsters, enchanting environments and much more. A special PS4 Pro console with a Monster Hunter World design will also be available in Japan for 49,980 Yen. It will be available on December 7th in Japan.

It’s worth noting that Monster Hunter World will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One first before heading to PC later in 2018. Capcom noted that there would be free DLC for the game and also discussed the possibility of doing time-limited events and whatnot thanks to online support. More information on Monster Hunter World will be coming at the Tokyo Game Show which begins proper on September 21st.
