Monster Hunter World

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World will be releasing on August 9th for PC. Check out the reveal trailer below. Just like with the PS4 and Xbox One versions, the PC version will be available on Steam in two versions: Standard ($59.99) and Deluxe Edition ($59.99 plus $14.99 for the Deluxe Kit, though the total bundle is slightly cheaper).

On pre-purchasing the Standard Edition, players will receive the Origin Armour Set and the Fair Wind charm. The latter increases attack power while also reducing damage taken. The Deluxe Edition includes the same on pre-purchasing, but also comes with the Samurai layered armour set, three gestures, two sticker sets, Wyvern face paint and the Topknot hairstyle.

The minimum and recommended system requirements (which leaked earlier today) can also be seen below, courtesy of the game’s Steam page.

MINIMUM:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: WINDOWS 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (64-bit required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460, 3.20GHz or AMD FX-6300

  • Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or Intel Core i3 8350 4GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X

For those worried that the Additional Notes indicate a capped frame rate, a blog post by Capcom revealed that resolutions up to 4K and a frame rate of 60 frames per second will be supported. Additional graphics options can be seen below with Subsurface Scattering, Resolution Scaling, Ambient Occlusion, Shadow Quality and much more being customizable.
