Monster Hunter World Behemoth

The highly awaited collaboration between Capcom’s Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy 14, in which Behemoth will appear as a monster for players to fight, will arrive in August. This is according to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto on the latest episode of Monster Hunter Radio.

A decorated boss of the Final Fantasy franchise, Behemoth was announced shortly after Rathalos was confirmed to appear in Final Fantasy 14. Both games dated their events as “Summer 2018”. While Behemoth’s debut gameplay livestream will take place on July 15th as part of Monster Hunter: World Hunting Thanksgiving 2018, it seems the update has a ways to go before it’s ready.

Until then, erstwhile hunters can partake in the Summer Twilight Festival, a seasonal event which begins on July 13th and ends on July 27th. During this period, all previous event quests will make a return like the Wyvern Ignition “Impact” Greatsword’s quest. New limited time bounties will also be made available. Will it be enough to still the desire for the next big monster? We’ll have to wait and find out.
