A new Elder Dragon has arrived in the New World and it’s upto groups of Hunters to battle it. Capcom’s Monster Hunter World has received a new update following the conclusion of the Spring Blossom Fest and it brings Kulve Taroth forth to battle.

The update also adds a new quest type called Siege. There will be 16 players in the Gathering Hub who split off into four groups of four, gathering Pursuit Points for Kulve Taroth. Once they’re confident in the number of points and Pursuit levels gained, they can battle Taroth into a new location, the Caves of El Dorado (though each group will have their own instance so no 16 player battle against the beast).

The objective is to break off as many parts as possible in the time given. Taroth will progress towards different areas and gain new attacks as the battle wears on. When she retreats, the amount of parts broken off is measured in the total progress. If the horns are broken, the Investigation is concluded and Pursuit progress is reset with all 16 players reaping rewards. These range from materials to new Relic weapons that are essentially Gold versions of existing weapons with new stats.
