Moonlighter

Not since Recettear: An Item Shop’s Tale has there been a game that combines the same principles of action RPG combat and shop management. However, Digital Sun’s Moonlighter might finally be that game. It’s available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC for$19.99. Check out the launch trailer below and fall in love with its gorgeous pixel-art style.

Moonlighter takes place in Rynoka village where various gates emerged in an archaeological dig. These gates lead to various dungeons full of different treasures. As a shopkeeper by day, dungeon crawler by night, Will ventures into the dungeons to both make a living and unlock the mysterious fifth dungeon.

In the middle of all this is the ability to upgrade weapons, bring different businesses in and sell different items to those who need them. Amass enough gold and the village can be further expanded. Furthermore, it’s possible to expand Will’s shop for even more benefits. For more information on Moonlighter, check it out on Steam.
