NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1 isn’t even available worldwide for Standard Edition owners, and dataminers have begun discovering information on future content. Twitter user @thethiny reported that there’s evidence for characters like Noob Saibot, Cyrax (in cyborg form), Conan the Barbarian, Ghostface (from the Scream movies), Jade, Cassie Cage, and Kung Jin.

They also noted that these looked like playable characters, not Kameo Fighters. Other dataminers, like the aptly named @Ghostface_4_MK1 found dialogue responses from characters like Omni-Man and Peacemaker to Ghostface. Meanwhile, @Dynasty1031 seemingly found references to Saibot courtesy, with Nitara calling him a “wraith.”

Interestingly, the T-1000 from Terminator 2 could also be coming. Peacemaker talks about someone resembling his father, the latter played by actor Robert Patrick in the HBO series, which hardly seems coincidental. If that weren’t enough, seasonal Fatalities also seem to be on the cards, with one involving a pumpkin and reportedly unlockable through a new “mission” in Invasions next month.

None of this has been confirmed, so stay tuned for official information as always. Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review here.
