Mortal Kombat 1 Cross-Play Arrives Next Week for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

"Krossplay" for NetherRealm's fighter will receive more details early next week, though it seems absent on Nintendo Switch.

As promised in December, NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1 is getting cross-platform play this month. “Krossplay” will be available in next week’s patch, likely with the arrival of Peacemaker for Kombat Pack 1 owners (who’s out on March 6th for everyone else).

It supports PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with more details set for early next week. Unfortunately, it seems Nintendo Switch isn’t supported. Invasions: Season 4 also goes live alongside Peacemaker, adding new cosmetics, a new map to explore and seasonal threats to battle, so expect more information on that.

In the meantime, check out our review of Mortal Kombat 1, where we awarded it 9 out of 10 for the story, mechanics and visuals. The reboot launched in September 2023 and has sold three million units as of January 2024. Alongside additional DLC characters, it will receive story DLC this year. Studio co-founder Ed Boon also promised a “big surprise” after the latter’s launch.
