Mortal Kombat 1 sees the arrival of Quan-Chi later this month, but in the meantime, Invasions Season 3 is now available for all players. Live until February 13th, 2024, Season of the Cryomancer sees an alternate universe Sub-Zero freezing everything in a path for conquest. Check it out below.
New cryo-themed skins for characters like Kitana, Geras, Baraka, Shang Tsung, Scorpion, General Shao, Mileena, Johnny Cage, Li Mei and many more are also available. There are new challenges, like a Test Your Might on tiny snowmen and boss fights against alternate versions of Ashrah and Shang Tsung.
The former can turn giant and unleash projectiles, while the latter turns into a tornado and, well, unleashes projectiles. It all culminates in a battle against Arctic Sub-Zero, who utilizes a frost field that calls back to the first live-action Mortal Kombat film.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It will receive cross-play in February 2024, while story DLC is also in the works.
