Mortal Kombat 11: Button Inputs For All Fatalities and Brutalities

Fatalities and Brutalities are a major part of the Mortal Kombat experience. To that end, NetherRealm Studios has jam-packed a number of them into Mortal Kombat 11. How do you perform them all, especially the Brutalities which seem to require such careful timing?.

First, it’s worth noting a couple of things: Fatalities don’t need to be unlocked. So if you want to perform a Fatality you don’t have, it’s possible. However, you need to unlock a Brutality in order to pull it off successfully. A Brutality must be successfully performed before your opponent’s health hits zero. So if you’re using the default Brutality – an uppercut – it should be the move that effectively ends the match (and make sure you don’t block at all in the final round).

Here’s a short summary of the button inputs per console. Directional inputs are standard across the board:

• Front Punch: Square (PS4), X (Xbox One), Y (Switch)
• Back Punch: Triangle (PS4), Y (Xbox One), X (Switch)
• Front Kick: X (PS4), A (Xbox One), B (Switch)
• Back Kick: Circle (PS4), B (Xbox One), A(Switch)
• Grab: L1 (PS4), LB (Xbox One), L (Switch)
• Amplify Move: R1 (PS4), RB (Xbox One), R (Switch)

Now let’s take a look at each character’s list of Fatalities followed by their Brutalities:

Baraka

Fatalities:

• Food for Thought (Close): Back, Down, Back, Back Punch
• Rock, Paper, Baraka (Close): Back, Forward, Back, Front Kick

Brutalities:

Nom Nom: Forward+Grab

A Toward Throw must be the final hit. Press Down three times during the Throw.

Cut Up: Down, Back, Front Kick, Amplify, Amplify

A Further Amplified Chop Chop must be the final hit. During the final hit, press Down three times.

Severed: Back, Forward, Back Kick

The Special Move “Leg Kabob” must provide the final hit. You also need to get the First Hit. During the final hit, hold Forward.

Stuck: Back, Forward, Back Punch

While you have the War Banner out, make sure the Special Move “Blade Charge” provides the final hit.

Capped: Down, Back, Back Kick

While you have the War Banner out, ensure the Special Move “Staked” provides the final hit.

Cassie Cage

Fatalities:

• I <3 U (Mid-Range): Down, Down, Forward, Back Kick
• GirlPower (Mid-Range): Back, Down, Down, Back, Back Punch

Brutalities:

Make It Pop: Forward+Grab

A Toward Throw must provide the final hit. Hold Forward during the Throw. Also must ensure you don’t lose a round.

Boom Bitch: Grab

A Back Throw must provide the final hit but you also have to connect with three throws in the match. Hold Grab during the final hit.

Got Yo Ass Beat: Back, Forward, Front Kick, Amplify

An Amplified version of the Special Move “Shoulder Charge” must provide the final hit. During the final hit, press Front Punch and Back Punch quickly.

Totes Eww: Forward, Back Punch

A basic Backhand attack must provide the final hit. Make sure to use any Drone Move throughout the match five times.

Cetrion

Fatalities:

• Maintaining Balance (Mid-Range): Back, Down, Forward, Down, Back Kick
• Good and Evil (Mid-Range): Back, Down, Back, Front Kick

Brutalities:

Falling Sky: Down, Down, Front Kick

First, perform a Mercy. The Earthquake Special Move’s first hit must be the match-ending blow while its second hit must be the Final Hit that connects when the words “Finish Them” appear.

Splitting Apart: Forward+Grab

Land three throws in a match. Perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit.

Smoked Flesh: Down, Forward, Front Punch, Amplify

Maintain some distance from an opponent and make sure you have less than 40 percent health remaining. Perform an Amplified Hell’s Wrath as the Final Hit.

Cannon Ball: Back, Forward, Back Punch

Hit three Boulder Bashes in a match. Perform a Boulder Bash as the Final Hit.

D’vorah

Fatalities:

• New Species (Close): Back, Forward, Back, Front Kick
• Can’t Die (Mid-Range): Back, Down, Down, Back Kick

Brutalities

Come My Child: Down, Forward, Back Punch

Perform a five hit combo with the Final Hit being from the Infested Special.

Belly Buster: Front Punch, Back Punch, Front Punch+Front Kick

Use a one-stage Interactible. Perform a Down Parasite Special combo for the Final Hit.

Buggin’ Out: Forward+Grab

Perform a Toward Throw and press Down, Down, Down while performing it.

No Guts No Glory: Grab

Fatal Blow must be available. Perform a Back Throw for the Final Hit and hold Back while performing it.

Bug Yuck: Back, Forward, Back Kick

Use three Swarms and then perform a Swarm Special for the Final Hit.

Erron Black

Fatalities:

• Melted (Mid-Range): Down, Down, Down, Front Punch
• Death Trap (Mid-Range): Down, Forward, Down, Back Punch

Is Something Burning?: Down, Back, Front Punch

Perform a TNT Toss Special as the Final Hit.

Beast Trap: Down,Back, Back Punch

Connect with three NetherBeast Traps. Perform NetherBeast Trap Special for the Final Hit.

Goodbye Cruel World: Down, Back, Front Punch

Perform the TNT Toss Special but continue to hold onto the dynamite. If it’s the Final Hit, Erron Black will commit suicide by explosion.

Dancing Days Are Done: Down, Back, Back Punch

While Fatal Blow is available, perform a Down Peacemaker Special as the Final Hit. Hold Forward as the Final Hit connects.

Kiss My Spur: Grab

Perform a Back Throw as the Final Hit and hold Forward during this.

Hard to Swallow: Down, Back, Forward, Front Punch

Perform a Cattle Toss Special for the Final Hit. During the Final Hit, press Front Punch and Back Punch quickly.

Frost

Fatalities:

• Ice Sculpture (Close): Forward, Back, Down, Front Punch
• The Cyber Initiative (Mid-Range): Back, Forward, Down, Forward, Back Kick

Brutalities:

Bleeding Out: Back+Back Punch, Back Punch

You need the Core Overload Special active. Perform the Winter Wind combo for the Final Hit.

Drill Deep: Back, Forward, Back Kick

Perform the Auger Lunge Special as the Final Hit and press Front Punch + Back Punch rapidly when the hit connects.

Geras

Fatalities:

• Phasing Through Time (Mid-Range): Back, Down, Down, Front Kick
• Peeling Back (Close): Down, Forward, Back, Front Punch

Brutalities:

Pulled Apart: Forward, Back Punch, Back Punch, Front Punch+Front Kick

Perform the Dangerous Chronology combo and ensure it provides the Final Hit. During the Final Hit, press Up, Up, Up.

Sinking Feeling: Down, Back, Front Punch

Hit the opponent with three Quick Sands in a match. Perform the Quick Sand Special and ensure it’s the Final Hit.

Stick It Out: Forward+Grab

Must have over 50 percent health and the Final Hit must be from a Toward Throw. During the Throw, hold Forward.

Paused in Time: Back, Forward, Front Punch

Hit your opponent with three Temporal Advantages during the final round. Perform the Temporal Advantage Special as the Final Hit.

Jade

Fatalities:

• Bow Before Me (Anywhere): Down, Down, Forward, Down, Back Kick
• Poll Dance (Close): Back, Forward, Down, Forward, Front Punch

Deadly Dance: Back, Forward, Back Punch, Amplify Move

Perform an Amplified Delia’s Dance Special as the Final Hit and hold Up as the hit connects.

Jacqui Briggs

Fatalities:

• Nothin’ But Neck (Mid-Range): Back, Forward, Back, Back Kick

Brutalities:

Hit a total of five Bionic Dashes. Perform a Bionic Dash as the Final Hit.

What Happened?: Grab (after Throw Escape)

Perform an Amplified Throw Escape as the Final Hit.

Did It To Yourself: Front Kick, Front Kick

Perform the Danger Zone Special as the Final Hit.

Damn It: Forward+Grab

Perform a Toward Throw and hold Forward as the Final Hit connects.

Jax Briggs

Fatalities:

• Coming in Hot (Close): Forward, Down, Forward, Front Kick
• Still Got It (Close): Back, Forward, Back, Down, Front Punch

Brutalities:

Slow Clap: Down, Back, Front Punch

When fully “Heated Up”, use the Lethal Clap Special as the Final Hit.

I Said Sleep: Back+Front Kick, Back Punch, Front Punch+Front Kick

While under 20 percent health, perform the Sleep, Bitch combo as the Final Hit.

Pounded: Down, Back, Front Punch, Front Punch

After executing a Gotcha Grab, use the Pound Town Special as the Final Hit. Press Front Punch several times while executing and hold it down with the Final Hit.

Missing Something?: Back, Forward, Back Kick, Grab

While having more than 50 percent health, perform the Duck and Weave Special and ensure that Rag Dollin provides the Final Hit. Hold Back when the hit is executed.

Johnny Cage

Fatalities:

• Mr. Cage’s Neighborhood (Close): Forward, Back, Down, Down, Back Kick
• Who Hired This Guy? (Close): Forward, Down, Forward, Front Punch

Brutalities:

$500 Sunglasses: Down, Down, Back Punch

A reference to the first Mortal Kombat film, there must be a large amount of distance between you and your opponent. Perform the Throwing Shades Special and ensure it’s the Final Hit.

Say Uncle: Down, Back, Forward, Front Punch

While the Brass Knuckles Special is active, perform the Pissed Off Special as the Final Hit.

The Award Goes To: Forward+Grab

Stun an opponent with the Say Cheese Special and then perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit. During the Throw, press Front Punch + Back Punch continuously.

Mic Check: Grab

Hit your opponent with three Throws in the match. Perform a Back Throw as the Final Hit.

Kabal

Fatalities:

• Road Rash (Mid-Range): Back, Forward, Down, Forward, Front Kick
• Hooked (Close): Down, Down, Down, Back Kick

Brutalities:

Spin Me Right Round: Back, Forward, Front Kick

Hit your opponent with three Nomad Dashes in a match. Perform a Nomad Dash Special as the Final Hit.

Rollin’ Through: Down, Back, Front Punch

Use 10 Saw moves in a match. Perform a Rolling Buzzsaw Special as the Final Hit.

Nowhere to Run: Front+Back Punch, Front Punch+Front Kick

Make sure you haven’t used Fatal Blow. Perform a Left for Dead combo as the Final Hit and hold Down when the hit connects.

Spinner Winner: Grab

Perform a Back Throw as the Final Hit and press Down,Down,Down as it connects.

Screamer: Back, Forward, Back Punch, Amplify Move

First, perform a Mercy on the opponent. Use an Amplified Gas Blast as the Final Hit.

Kano

Fatalities:

• Last Dance (Close): Forward, Down, Down, Front Punch

Hit your opponent with four knives during a match (use an Amplified version just to be sure). Perform the Blade Toss Special as the Final Hit.

Perform an Amplified Rack Off Special counter as the Final Hit and hold Forward when the hit connects.

Look What I Found: Back Punch, Back Punch, Front Punch+Front Kick

Make sure you have the Manhandled Special equipped and perform a Mercy on your opponent. Perform a Figjam combo as the Final Hit.

Kollector

Fatalities:

Health must be below 50 percent. Perform a Taxed combo as the Final Hit and hold Down either during the Grab or when the hit connects.

Kotal Kahn

You need at least one stack of the Huehhueyi buff active. Perform the Huehhueyi Special as the Final Hit and hold Up as the hit connects.

Burnt: Forward+Grab

Tonatiuh Beam have to be active. Perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit.

Kitana

Fatalities:

• Gore-Nado (Mid-Range): Down, Down, Down, Down, Back Punch
• Royal Execution (Mid-Range): Down, Back, Forward, Front Punch

Brutalities:

Sister’s Strength: Forward+Grab

Must have 30 percent of health remaining. Perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit and hold Forward while doing so.

Deadly Lips: Grab

After performing a Mercy, do a Back Throw as the Final Hit.

Punished: Back, Forward, Front Kick

Must have less than 40 percent health remaining and the Ground War Special equipped. Perform the Ground Square Wave as the Final Hit.

Wind Tunnel: Down, Back, Back Punch

Connect with three Fan-Nados in the final round. Perform the Fan-Nado Special as the Final Hit.

Corn on the Cob: Down, Back, Back Punch, Front Punch

Use Half-Blood Stance three times in the match. Perform the Half Blood Stance Special and then Gutted as the Final Hit.

Kung Lao

Fatalities:

Mind Of Its Own: Down, Back, Back Punch

Get the First Hit of the match and perform the Z Hat Special as the Final Hit. Hold Forward as the hit connects.

Liu Kang

Fatalities:

• Burn Out (Close): Down, Back, Down, Forward, Front Punch
• Belly of the Beast (Mid-Range): Back, Down, Back, Forward, Back Punch

With over 50 percent health, perform the Kusari Slam Special and make sure it provides the Final Hit.

One Inch Death Strike: Down, Back, Front Kick

Perform the Dragon Parry Special and ensure it’s the Final Hit. Also make sure that this is your third parry in the match.

The Chosen One: Down, Back, Back Punch, Front Punch

While Dragon Fire is active, perform the Nunchaku Fury Special. During the Final Hit, hold Forward.

Noob Saibot

Fatalities:

With at least 40 percent health, perform a Back Throw as the Final Hit. Hold Back after Saibot (the shadow) drops mid-throw.

Raiden

Perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit and press Front Punch + Back Punch continuously while doing so.

Elder Storm Strike: Grab

Perform a Back Throw and hold the Grab button while doing the same.

Perform five Electric Flys in the final round. Use the Amplified Electric Fly Special as the Final Hit and hold Down during the hit.

Perform a three-hit combo ending with the Jo Push, ideally reducing the opponent’s health completely on the second hit. Perform a Jo Push Special as the Final Hit.

Wrath: Back, Forward, Front Kick, Amplify Move

Perform an Amplified Super Bolt Special as the Final Hit and hold Down as the hit connects.

Scorpion

Perform three Throws during the match. Perform a Back Throw as the Final Hit and hold the Grab button while doing so.

Crispy: Down, Forward, Front Kick

Perform the Demon Breath Special as the Final Hit and hold the Front Kick button as the hit connects.

Demon’s Blood: Back Punch, Front Punch, Back Punch+Back Kick

Death Spin and Death Spear Specials must be equipped and your health must be under 40 percent. Perform the Wrath combo as the Final Hit and hold Forward when the hit connects.

Save Me a Slice: Down, Back, Front Kick, Amplify Move

Must have over 40 percent health. Perform the Amplified Hell Port as the Final Hit. Hold Down as the hit connects.

Skarlet

Fatalities:

In the final round, connect with three Throws. Perform a Forward Throw and ensure it’s the Final Hit.

Make sure you’re very far from your opponent and have at least 50 percent health remaining. Perform the Blood Ball Special as the Final Hit.

Shao Kahn

Fatalities:

• Back Blown Out (Close): Back, Forward, Down, Down, Back Punch (Close)
• Kahn-Sequences (Close): Back, Forward, Back, Front Punch

Perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit and press Down, Down, Down during the Throw.

Sonya Blade

Perform an Amplified Air Control Special as the Final Hit and hold Down during the Throw.

Popping Heads: Forward+Grab

Without losing a round, perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit. Hold Forward during the Throw.

Kisses: Back, Forward, Front Punch

After performing a Mercy, maintain a large distance from your opponent. Perform Energy Rings as the Final Hit.

Busted: Back, Forward, Back Punch, Amplify Move

Perform an Amplified Leg Breaker as the Final Hit and hold Up when the hit connects.

Sub-Zero

Fatalities:

• Ice-Cutioner (Mid-Range): Back, Forward, Back, Back Punch
• Frozen in Time (Mid-Range): Forward, Down, Forward, Back Kick

Brutalities:

Off With Your Head: Back, Forward, Front Kick, Amplify Move

Perform an Amplified Slide as the Final Hit. After Sub-Zero turns around, press Forward, Forward, Forward during the hit.

Butchered: Down, Back, Back Punch (In Air)

Perform an Aerial Polar Axe Special as the Final Hit and hold Down when the hit connects.

Dancing on the Ceiling: Forward+Grab

Perform a Toward Throw as the Final Hit and hold Up as it connects. If you hold Down + Front Kick, your opponent will slide off the spikes.

Big Leg: Forward+Back Kick

Perform five Brutal Kicks in the match. Perform a Brutal Kick as the Final Hit.

Slicing Meat: Forward+Back Punch

When under 20 percent health, perform the Double Axe Slam Basic attack as the Final Hit.
