Mortal Kombat 11 might be getting a full blowout reveal of details in a week’s time, but we’ve still been getting a good and steady drip of information on the upcoming fighter over the weeks. From hearing about its character variation system, to getting brief details about its roster, to speculation about new character additions, and more, there’s definitely been plenty of stuff to sink our teeth into. What we have today isn’t quite as substantial, but still exciting enough for the series’ legion of fans, who’ve been waiting for the highly anticipated sequel for so long.

Mortal Kombat co-creator and big boss of developers NeatherRealm Studios, Ed Boon, recently took to Twitter to share the official cover art of the upcoming fighter. Unsurprisingly, it features Scorpion front and centre, with the iconic and wildly popular character lunging toward the screen agains a minimalistic and yellow background. It looks pretty cool- take a look below.

As I mentioned previously, a full community event reveal of Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled for January 17, which is when we’ll be hearing a lot more about the game, so stay tuned. The game launches on April 23 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
