By the second game in the series, it was somewhat expected that fans would fight a Shokan like Goro or Kintaro. So when Mortal Kombat 3 came around and Motaro appeared, it was somewhat comical to suddenly fight a Centaurian. Until he kicked and punched you across the screen and reflected most projectiles, that is. Unfortunately, Motaro only appeared in Ultimate MK3 and Armageddon as a sub-boss before being swept aside.
