Though making appearances in different titles, Rain become playable in Mortal Kombat 3. Despite being negatively received in the beginning, Rain would build up a fanbase, and return in Mortal Kombat Armageddon with a more distinct personality. His backstory would change in MK9, following his absence in MKX and finally returning in Mortal Kombat 11 as part of its Kombat Pack 2, sporting his best look and moves yet. While Rain isn’t the most memorable of Mortal Kombat’s numerous ninjas, he’s managed to carve a niche for himself if nothing else.
