Mortal Kombat 1 has drawn plenty of criticism since its launch, with most of it being directed at the game’s aggressive monetization methods, but as far as new content is concerned, developer NetherRealm Studios has kept up a steady cadence of new updates. In December, Quan Chi was added to the game’s roster of main fighters, with NetherRealm confirming at the time that Khameleon would be added to the Kameo lineup sometime in January. Now, a release date for the former has been revealed.

Taking to Twitter, NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that Khameleon will be added to Mortal Kombat 1’s roster of Kameo fighters on January 16 for all owners of the Kombat Pack. Khameleon was shown off in Quan Chi’s trailer back in December, with her moveset having several similarities to the likes of Kitana, Mileena, and Jade.

Mortal Kombat 1 has plenty more post-launch content in the works. In addition to future Invasions seasons and several more DLC fighters and kameo characters, the game will also receive story DLC at some point in the future, while cross-play is also set to be added sometime next month.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
