Mortal Kombat X Launch Trailer Brings the Brutality

Set to the tune of System of a Down's "Chop Suey".

Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm Studios’ latest iteration of the franchise, is right around the corner and a new trailer hyping up the launch is now available.

This isn’t like most launch trailers though as Shavo Odadjian of popular rock band System of a Down had directed the trailer. The song heard is the band’s most famous hit “Chop Suey” and it syncs perfectly with the violence in the trailer.

And there’s plenty of violence to see here. X-Rays make a return, displaying the full brutality of smashing some one’s bones, and there is at least a fatality or two to watch out for throughout. Otherwise, it’s war, fighting, more fighting and more war.

Mortal Kombat X is releasing on April 14th for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, iOS and Android. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are out on June 2nd. Will you be picking it up? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
