Murasaki Baby Announced for PlayStation Vita

A touch-based little title exclusively for Sony's handheld.

Posted By | On 20th, Aug. 2013

Of the many announcements Sony had in store at its Gamescom 2013 press conference, including Borderlands 2 and Fez for the PS Vita and a price drop effective tomorrow for the handheld, another game stood out among the crowd: namely, Italian developer Ovosonico’s Murasaki Baby. Check out the trailer for the game above.

In keeping with its fascination for off-beat titles, Murasaki Baby is controlled completely using the PlayStation Vita’s touch controls. We have a hard time ourselves explaining just how cool it is, so make you check out the trailer above. This will be Ovosonico’s first tile and will even have Shadow of the Damned’s creator at the helm.

A release date for the game is yet to be announced, but it will be complementing Sony’s handheld titles line-up rather nicely. Will it be enough to topple the 3DS which has its own share of exclusives for the Holiday season though? Time will tell. Till then, stay tuned for more announcements from Sony’s Gamescom 2013 presser.
