Mutant Year Zero Road to Eden

The Bearded Ladies and Funcom have announced that Mutant Year Zero, the post-apocalyptic squad-based RPG, will be coming to Nintendo Switch. It will head to the hybrid platform on June 25th and a physical Deluxe Edition is also coming courtesy of Maximum Games. If that weren’t enough, a DLC expansion has also been confirmed (which will be included in the Switch version).

PS4, Xbox One and PC owners will need to purchase the DLC separately when it launches. The physical Deluxe Edition, retailing for $39.99, will include the base game and DLC. Regarding the game’s release on Nintendo Switch, The Bearded Ladies CEO Haraldur Thormundsson said. “Ever since we started working on this game, we have always felt it would be a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch. he game lends itself really well to the Switch controls and the pacing of the tactical turn-based combat is perfect for an on-the-go, handheld console.”

The developer has been updating the game on a fairly regular basis since launch. Along with a Challenge Mode and the removal of DRM for PC players, a free demo was also released containing a significant portion of the game. Check out the announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch version below to see how well it runs.
