We’ve been able to see quite a few trailers of NBA 2K19 so far, including one which showcases the career mode and another which showcases The Neighborhood, as well as the introduction of a new commentator. The game is set to release in just a few days, which means that its Switch eShop page is now live in a few regions- and it offers some details about the game’s file size and other requirements for the platform.
NBA 2K19 is going to be the largest game to release for the Switch so far, with its total file size coming up to 31.5 GB. The game also requires 5 GB of space within the Switch’s internal memory- the game’s eShop page very explicitly states that. In fact, this year’s instalment is much bigger than NBA 2K18, which came up to just 23.5 GB with its file size.
Beyond NBA, the other games on the Switch that top lists of file sizes are also pretty far off from the file size of NBA 2K19. For instance DOOM weighs 21.3 GB, while Resident Evil Revelations 2 comes up to about 23.6 GB. The only game that comes somewhat close to NBA 2K19’s file size is L.A. Noire, with its file size of 27.4 GB.
NBA 2K19 is set to release for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on September 7.
