Developer Streum On Studio – known for games like Necromunda: Hired Gun, Space Hulk: Deathwing, and E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy – has announced that it is splitting off from publisher Focus Entertainment after having originally been acquired back in 2021.

Along with it setting off as an independent studio, Streum On has also been working on an unannounced game. The studio has released a teaser trailer for the title, revealing that a world premiere for it will happen some time in Summer 2025. Check out the teaser trailer below.

Little is currently known about this unannounced title, aside from the fact that “all hell is about to break loose,” according to its teaser. The video also shows us a mix of what appears to be sci-fi and fantasy aesthetics, complete with two ominous spear-wielding soldiers with massive shields guarding a gate. We also get glimpses at who might end up being the primary antagonist of the game, possibly living beyond the guarded gate.

While a far cry from the Warhammer 40,000 games that Streum On Studio has previously worked on, the aesthetics on display in the latest teaser do indicate that the upcoming title may have something to do with 2011 RPG shooter E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy.

For context, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is considered a cult classic by many who have played it. The title had some strange storytelling method, and could often end up revealing some of its most important plot points through item descriptions or one-off conversations with random NPCs – much like some of the storytelling methods that FromSoftware would go on to popularise in its Souls franchise.

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy was also playable in co-op multiplayer, with events happening in the multiplayer mode also affecting a single-player playthrough. The title also had an intense emphasis on making the player manage their psychological and mental trauma, while also encouraging them to take up arms against their enemies through the use of 25 different weapons, all of which could be heavily customised.

Streum On Studios was acquired by Focus Entertainment during the development of Warhammer 40,000 title Necromunda: Hired Gun.

“Over the past year, and particularly the past six months, we have profoundly transformed Focus Home Interactive,” said the at the time chairman of the management board at Focus Entertainment Christophe Nobileau. “Our Group now has an adjusted business model and a dedicated M&A team, as well as renewed governance, a strengthened Executive Committee and a retention programme for key managers.”

“These changes allow us to invest much more in game development and to significantly improve our profitability, starting next year. On the external growth front, we are delighted with the acquisition of the Streum On Studio and are continuing our discussions with other partner studios as well as structural targets for Focus Home Interactive.”

As you wait for Streum On Studios to reveal more details about its next major game, in the meantime, check out our review of the last game made by the studio – Necromunda: Hired Gun. In our review, we praised the combat and art style while criticising the game’s performance issues.
