Neon White is Not Coming to Xbox This Year

Annapurna Interactive says it has no additional plans for December 2022, though it doesn't outright deny that a port is in the works.

Angel Matrix’s stunning first-person speed-running title Neon White is coming to PS4 and PS5 after arriving on PC and Nintendo Switch. XboxEra’s Nick Baker reported that an Xbox version was also in the works, which would also come to Game Pass. Annapurna Interactive has tweeted that it was not releasing the title for Xbox in December.

“This is wrong, and we have not made any additional plans for December 2022. We will not be releasing another port this year.” Yes, it’s a parody of the infamous Alpine F1 statement, but still serious. What’s odd is that Baker didn’t say the Xbox version was coming in December.

He tweeted, “Well, I didn’t say it was coming in December. Just that it’s coming. The December part was mentioned as pure speculation based on the PS4/5 port being announced. But I guess thanks for semi-confirming the Xbox Port!” Again, this doesn’t confirm or deny that an Xbox version is releasing. If there are plans for the same, more details are likely coming next year.

In the meantime, Neon White launches on December 13th for PlayStation. It runs at 120 Hz on PS5 throughout and supports the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, providing a unique feel to each Soul Card. Furthermore, gyroscope aiming is also supported along with reduced loading times. Stay tuned for more details on the title, especially since it’s nominated for The Game Awards 2022.
