New GTA 5 Update Not Coming Anytime Soon, Rockstar Explains

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting some new information or even footage of Grand Theft Auto V, then developer/publisher has a bit of bad news: as of now, there are no plans for either according to comments made on the original post announcing the game’s release on September 17th 2013 for Xbox 360 and PS3.

“As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future.

“We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans’, ‘don’t respect our fans’, ‘hate GTA fans etc’ – precisely the opposite!

“Sorry, we can’t provide a timeline as to when you can expect more info or media from GTAV. Right now we’re just bunkered down busy working on the game and aren’t ready to share anything new – please be patient and of course there will be more to see in the months leading up to game release. Thank you.”

Of course, this shouldn’t be thought to mean that we won’t get any new information ever. Or even that the game won’t be making an appearance at the major conventions like E3 2013.

It’s more accurate to say that Rockstar will be showing the game off when it has stuff to show. As of now, it seems even they’re not sure exactly when that could be in the months leading up to the game.

So keep calm and stay tuned for more details.
