Sony finally announced a major firmware update for the PlayStation 4 earlier today at their Gamescom presentation, and it adds some pretty sweet long requested stuff, including the ability to share our gameplay videos to Youtube (seriously, this feature was missing from the system until now), as well as an awesome new thing called Share Play, which allows for online co-op gameplay of games even if your friend doesn’t have a copy of the game in question, as well as allowing remote controlling of PS4 games over the internet (think screen sharing on a Mac over Facetime, and you might get the idea).
It’s a pretty great idea, sort of like the feature that was announced for Far Cry 4 earlier this year at Sony’s E3, but better, because it’s not time limited like that feature is, and will be supported by more than just one game.
