Maxis’s The Sims 4, which is the fourth installment in EA and Maxis’s insanely popular life simulation series, is releasing later this year, and this gameplay trailer is an extensive look at the game and how it works. It is clear that we can expect the same addictive gameplay that has made previous Sims games so great, while also retaining all the charm and simplicity of the previous titles.

At the same time, it also seems to dramatically evolve and iterate on the gameplay formula of the previous games- Maxis has promised multiple changes that entirely change how we play The Sims when The Sims 4 hits later this year.

The Sims 4 is the newest title in the series, which has sold 170 million copies worldwide till date, and is the third most successful gaming franchise of all time. It is due out on PC and Mac exclusively via Origin. Past Sims games all got releases on consoles and handhelds as well, although so far, no version of the game has been announced for any of those.
