Halo 2 was a monumental game, the kind that forever alters the flow of the industry and influences an entire generation of kids growing up. So of course, its remake is a very. very big deal- the inclusion of Halo 2 Anniversary in the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection would have made the package worth it all by itself, even if it weren’t for the added value.
This new video shows us what it was like to take on a task as demanding and ultimately terrifying as remaking Halo 2- if you go wrong, if you screw up, you tarnish the memories if a generation that grew up on the game, and also have a horde of angry and unhappy fans, rightfully upset with you, and also promises a bigger, longer feature length documentary on just that subject.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes all four numbered Halo games and launches exclusively on the Xbox One in November.
