Nier Automata

You really don’t realize that time flies until you get to a birthday or anniversary and see how much time has passed. Today marks the tenth anniversary of the truly unique and odd NieR series which, while not being too old, has made quite an impact in its own weird way. A new website has been launched to celebrate the milestone.

The series really only consists of two games: Nier and NieR: Automata, though is also a very lowkey spin-off of the Drakengard series. The first game launched in 2010 for PS3 and 360 and was hugely unique and lauded for its unique story, as well as its utilization of multiple playthroughs to tell an overarching story. It was NieR: Automata that blew the handles off the door to be a huge success, and being developed by PlatinumGames helped offset one of the original’s biggest problems: the weak combat. It’s even invaded over franchises in special crossovers.

You can check out the website here. As of right now, there’s just a logo, but odds are something else will pop up, hopefully in relation to a sequel to Automata. We’ll keep you updated.
