Following its announcement that Nier: Automata has surpassed Square Enix’s expectations, the official Twitter for Platinum Games has revealed that it crossed 1.5 million in terms of shipments and download sales worldwide.

The original tweet, translated from Japanese by Siliconera, notes that, “The action RPG NieR: Automata for PlayStation 4 and Steam has surpassed 1.5 million in worldwide shipment and download sales. Thank you very much for your continued support after its release.”

Considering that the game crossed one million in shipments and digital downloads in early April, this is a pretty good development. Nier: Automata launched in February this year for Japan on PS4 and in March for the rest of the world PC and PS4. Thus far, it’s attracted positive reactions from both critics and fans.

It’s even received DLC called 3C3C1D119440927 which adds three new arenas, new side-quests and costumes, and some secret bosses. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Let us know below.
