A new trailer for Platinum’s NieR: Automata, a new title in the underrated NieR series, has been released and it showcases both old and familiar looking characters from previous videos. That includes their character designs as well so don’t expect too much gameplay footage.

The official website offers information on each character in Japanese but you can check out a translation for the same on Gematsu. Some of the newer characters include Commander, the Bunker’s director who has an attachment to A2; Devola and Popola, red-haired androids residing in the resistance camp; and even Emil, the creepy smiling head from the original NieR, though his memories have since been lost.

NieR: Automata will be releasing on February 23rd in Japan for PS4 and PC. A Western release is unknown at this time but more information should be shared in the coming months. What are your thoughts on the characters? Let us know in the comments.
