Just when you thought Kaine’s foul-mouthed monologue was cut from NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, Toylogic has released a new trailer to confirm its inclusion. It’s part of the opening movie for NieR Gestalt which has been remastered with freshly recorded voiceovers and improved visuals. Check it out below, though be warned that it contains explicit language.
At the title screen, the Replicant and Gestalt opening movies will play alternately so you’ll be able to view either at any given time. The opening movie isn’t the only NieR Gestalt content that fans expect – Dad Nier, the protagonist of that release, will also have a costume in the remaster. This is in addition to content like the 15 Nightmares DLC dungeon, costumes from NieR: Automata and a new story episode “Mermaid.”
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is out on April 23rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It takes place before NieR: Automata and sees the protagonist attempting to save his sister from the Black Scrawl. Head here to see the game in action.
