Nintendo has just revealed in a new tweet that the online service for the Nintendo Switch called Nintendo Switch Online will go live in September 2018. The service will be relatively cheaper as compared to the services offered by Microsoft and Sony for their consoles.

The service will only cost $20 a year or users can also opt to go for a one-month subscription at $4 and a three-month subscription at $8. Nintendo Switch online will allow users to access a library of classic games which they can play as often as they would want to as long as they have an  active subscription to the service. The offer is certainly attractive given the cheap price for the service and the ability to play classic games.

It certainly looks like it’s going to be an interesting year for Nintendo, especially with regards to the Switch. The company had recently announced its recent financial results and it’s clear that they have been enjoying great success with the Switch. What do you think of the new online service? Let us know in the comments.
