This came out of left field (courtesy of NeoGAF). During Sony’s pre-TGS press conference, it revealed that Koei Tecmo’s NIOH would be releasing for PS4. Team Ninja will be developing the game and you can check out a trailer it below.

NIOH was described as a, “Very typical war time game, impossible to clear fully on the first time” and will be exclusive to the PS4. However, it’s interesting to see the game re-emerge – it was originally planned to release when the PS3 first launched. Yes, we’re serious. Why Koei Tecmo has chosen to resurrect the project for PS4 remains to be seen, as well as whether it was worth the effort, but it’s good news for Japanese gamers all the same.

What are your thoughts on NIOH and how it ultimately looks on the PS4? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on the game, which will release in 2016.
