Nioh Receives Limited Time “Last Chance Trial” on PS4

Playable on January 21st, ends on January 22nd.

At first thought to be available in Japan only, Team Ninja’s Nioh has received another new beta on the European PlayStation Store. Dubbed the “Last Chance Trial”, it’s 7 GB in size on PS4.

Here’s something interesting though – the beta begins on January 21st, 12 AM and wraps up at the same time on January 22nd. You’ll only have 24 hours to play the beta so download it now and make some time. Though it isn’t currently available in the North American PlayStation Store, it will likely appear once the store updates for the week.

Nioh is an especially interesting new hack and slash title from the studio that made Ninja Gaiden. It takes inspiration from Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Diablo while being set in 1600s Japan. Many tropes of Dark Souls like the intense difficulty, summoning spirits to aid you in combat and so on are prevalent.

Nioh will release on February 7th for PS4. Will you try the beta? Let us know in the comments.
